BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The requalification of the Alcáçova square integrates the connecting axis of 5 de Outubro Av., next to the emblematic “Portas do Sol” garden, seeking the restitution of the Santa Maria of Alcáçova Church and the associated urban area. The project aims to optimize its potential, returning it to the people through a concept that privileges the pedestrian movement and promotes the qualification and identity of the space.
